Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2, 2026
This policy explains Otterplay’s own play-history feature and the information processing involved in hosting, traffic analytics, and embedded third-party games. Third-party games and services have their own privacy rules; this policy does not replace them.
1. Website access and technical information
Otterplay uses Cloudflare for website hosting and network services. When you visit a page, requests include your IP address, the requested address, request time, and technical information sent by your browser or device. The hosting provider may use this information to deliver content, maintain security, and troubleshoot problems.
The site currently does not require an account. Our play-history feature does not upload your local game list to a database. This does not mean that visiting pages, loading analytics, or opening third-party games involves no network data transmission.
2. Optional local play history
After you choose “Accept and remember,” the site uses cookies and local storage in your current browser to remember games you open:
- The local storage entry
otterplay.history.v1stores game IDs and the most recent time you opened each game page, with records for up to 50 games. - The
otterplay_visitorcookie stores a randomly generated browser identifier without your name or email address. It is a browser identifier, not a guarantee that the data cannot be linked to other request information. - The
otterplay_consentcookie stores your acceptance or rejection, the time of that choice, and a version. We save a rejection too, so that the prompt does not appear repeatedly.
The choice and visitor cookies have a lifetime of up to 180 days. The play list displays only valid records from the last 180 days. Local storage has no automatic expiry, so expired entries may remain on your device until a later write, a history reset, or removal of site data.
Opening a game page can create a record; it does not mean you actually interacted with the game. Our history feature does not record level progress, scores, or actual playing time, and does not sync across devices.
3. Managing your play history
You can decline history and still open games. Without your agreement to history, the site does not read or write the play list. Closing the prompt does not count as acceptance.
“Clear history” in My footsteps deletes the local game list but keeps your saved choice. If history remains enabled, opening another game page starts recording again. Clearing history does not also delete the visitor identifier cookie.
To reset your choice or turn off history you previously enabled, remove this site’s cookies and local storage through your browser settings, then choose “Not now” on your next visit. Removing site data may also remove game settings or progress stored in that browser.
4. Google Analytics traffic measurement
The site currently loads Google Analytics when a page opens to understand visits and usage. This service may process page addresses, visit events, browser and device information, and online identifiers, and may use its own cookies. Processing and retention depend on the actual service configuration and Google’s applicable policies. We do not promise an unverified retention period in this policy.
The current play-history prompt controls only our local history feature, not the loading of Google Analytics. Choosing “Not now” does not prevent the analytics script from loading, and clearing play history does not erase Google’s analytics data. You can manage related requests through browser privacy settings, cookie restrictions, or content-blocking tools. Their effectiveness depends on your browser and tools.
5. Playgama and third-party games
Game pages embed games supplied by Playgama in an iframe, which loads when you open the page. Third parties may therefore receive your IP address, device and browser information, and information sent under the browser’s referrer rules. Game links also include a partner parameter identifying the referring site.
Third-party games may use cookies or local storage and may include advertising, analytics, in-game purchases, or external services. Practices vary by game and service; we cannot promise that all games are ad-free or free of tracking. Check the provider’s, advertiser’s, or payment service’s privacy information and available choices within the game.
Declining our play history does not prevent a third-party game from loading or constitute a rejection of its data processing. Our history reset does not clear data held under third-party domains. You can manage that data through your browser’s site-data settings.
6. Information you send when contacting us
If you email moyuservicestudio@outlook.com, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to provide. We use them to reply, investigate issues, and carry out necessary follow-up communication. Please avoid sending sensitive information unrelated to the issue. Email transmission and storage also involve the email provider, and the site’s history reset cannot delete those messages.
7. Language and use by minors
The default entry is English, and Chinese pages use the /zh/ path. You can switch through the language options on the page. The site currently does not redirect automatically based on your browser’s language preferences.
A parent or guardian should help minors review game content, advertising, purchase options, and privacy settings. The site has no age-verification mechanism. A casual-game theme alone should not be taken as evidence that a game is suitable for a particular age.
8. Policy updates and privacy requests
When site features or services change, we will update this page and its revision date. For questions about access, correction, deletion, or other privacy matters, contact moyuservicestudio@outlook.com and identify the relevant page or service. We will handle requests according to the information actually available to us and applicable requirements. Data stored only on your device generally needs to be removed in your browser, and requests concerning data held by a third party may need to be directed to that provider.
